Mr. Babb graduated from Southern Methodist University with a B.A. in business and double minors in History and Latin American Studies. After his undergraduate education, Mr. Babb fulfilled a life-long dream of serving as an officer in the United States Marines Corps for which he will be eternally grateful for the opportunities that his service afforded him, and for the Marines with which it was truly his honor to serve. Following is military service, Mr. Babb returned to the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University to pursue his passion for helping others find justice. During his time at the Dedman School of Law, Mr. Babb achieved numerous recognitions in advocacy programs to include being selected a National Member of the Order of Barristers. Mr. Babb was also fortunate during his time at law school to be selected to the S.M.U. Criminal Defense Clinic where he was able to put his advocacy skills to the test by successfully representing fifty-seven clients in the Dallas County Criminal Courts of Law. It was during this time that Mr. Babb tried his first case to a jury and obtained a not guilty verdict for his client. Mr. Babb has had numerous other trials with successful defenses of criminal charges.
Mr. Babb continued working after law school at the law firm of Bryan Dunklin & Associates, PLLC, where he had clerked during law school, until he started his own law office prior to forming Jenkins | Babb, LLP. He has broad litigation practice encompassing the areas of business litigation, personal injury, and criminal defense.
Mr. Babb has represented businesses and individuals in cases involving breach of contracts, fraud, fraud in the sale of real estate, conversion, and breach of fiduciary duties. His experience in real estate litigation involved title companies in connection with claims for breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duties, civil conspiracy, misrepresentations, and enforcement of indemnity provisions. These lawsuits included alleged fraud and misrepresentations in the deeds of trust, affidavits of occupancy, verification of employment, verification of deposits, Form 1008, and Hud-1 Closing Statements.
Mr. Babb continues to passionately represent individuals and businesses through the legal process regardless of which side of the “v” his client may be, whether the matter be civil or criminal court, or whether the case be in state or federal court. Mr. Babb believes that his exposure to both sides of the case and to both the civil and criminal law provides him an insight that greatly benefits his clients. In addition, Mr. Babb understands that beyond all the legalese that his clients are ultimately real people with serious concerns about their case, and therefore deserve the best representation possible.
Away from the law, Mr. Babb enjoys traveling and scuba diving with his friends.
